Do you like nature and talking to people? Wild Birds Unlimited is accepting applications for Sales Associates at our Mobile, AL store. Wild Birds Unlimited is the leader in the hobby of backyard birding where we excel at helping bring joy to people’s lives through nature. The store environment is friendly, relaxing and fun! Working at Wild Birds Unlimited is fast paced, ever changing and fulfilling. We do not sell live birds but focus on backyard bird feeding. Position Requirements:

  • Understand that the customer is the #1 priority; always giving friendly, knowledgeable customer service.
  • Previous Sales experience encouraged but not required.
  • High Work ethic and respect for fellow team members.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and an “eye” for what needs to be done are critical.
  • Willingness to learn and continue to learn so as to communicate the products to customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and able to remain on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Physically be able to consistently lift and carry 30-50lbs.
  • We are open six days a week; currently closed on Sundays. Associates are expected to be available on Saturdays and during busy holiday times.
  • Basic computer skills and the willingness to learn with confidence.
Sales Associate Responsibilities:

  • Use successful selling skills to satisfy the customer’s needs.
  • Understand and communicate the store’s merchandise and target products to the customer.
  • Cross-sell items to enhance the customer experience with branded products.
  • Accurately and efficiently ring transactions to complete the sale.
  • Help maintain all feeders, birdbaths and display items that need filling, cleaning, etc.
  • Complete the changing of displays, restock the sales floor, back room and receives product orders.
  • Carry out seed and products for customers.
  • Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic and professional personal image that adds to the store team spirit.
  • Build relationships with customers, earning trust and growing their hobby of backyard birding.
Education & Licenses:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Driver's License
